Human Resources Generalist
Location: Somerville, MA (Hybrid Schedule Available)

About the Role:

In this vital role, you’ll support core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. You'll help foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture while ensuring policies and practices align with organizational goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hiring managers to coordinate recruitment efforts and onboard new staff

  • Administer employee benefits and respond to related inquiries

  • Assist in maintaining HRIS records and reporting

  • Support employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution processes

  • Coordinate compliance initiatives and help maintain HR policies and procedures

  • Champion equity, inclusion, and staff wellness initiatives

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally in a nonprofit or human services setting

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
